Located in the center of the city, the park named after liberator Simón Bolivar is a main attraction in Bogotá due to that it is the biggest and it has been visited by Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II. It is popular amongst locals and tourists who visit it on a daily basis.

Park Simon Bolivar consists of bicycle pathways, sidewalks, and a ceremonial plaza with capacity for over 140,000 people. Initially built in 1966, it started off with a sport’s tent and a lake. The park’s infrastructure was recently renovated and all its visitors have enjoyed its renovations.
