Declared as National Monument, The National Park is really important because the national historic that it has as also to be one of the very first recreational parks for all citizens. Founded by the President Enique Olaya Herrera in 1934.

In the National Park is located the General Rafeal Uribe Uribe's Monument created by the italian sculptor Vittorio Macho in 1940, the monument is beautified by a gorgeous fount.
