Plan Description:
Is the best opportunity to recognize the historic, politic and religious advance of Bogota, this tour starts in the Bolivar’s Square, originally the major square located at the Loyal street, today is the 7th avenue. At the square is located the First Cathedral (cathedral primada) built where Gonzalo Jimenez de Quezada founded Santa Fe city in august 6 of 1538.
Also its located the Sanctuary Chapel built at the ends of the XVII century and the archbishop palace, the San Bartholomew college one of the oldest in Latin America, The national Capitol, headquarters of the republic Congress, the Lievano Building, headquarter of Mayor of Bogota, The justice palace headquarter of the supreme court.

No visit will be complete without La Candelaria, the historic neighborhood of Bogota; each house represents the colonial architecture of the colonial era, witness of our independence in July 20th of 1810. You will be charm by the magic of this place.
We will visit the Botero’s Museum, which exhibit 123 artworks of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero renowned internationally by his artworks of chubby characters, also 85 more artworks of most representatives’ artist like Picasso, Dali, and Monet among others.

At last we will visit “La Casa De La Moneda”, is a mansion from the colonial era working now as a museum dedicated to exhibit coins and medals of that era, the machinery required for the production of those coins and medals, art collections of the colonial period and some contemporary too. This tour is mandatory to know about the politic and religious history of Bogota.
